For the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, this meeting was ‘a chance to reaffirm the human right to education’ and ‘an opportunity to mobilize political commitment’.

During the 2nd seminar on ESD, organized by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS) in collaboration with ACUP, the Catalan Association of Public Universities and lafede.cat were demanded to collaborate and to advance towards more ESD in the Catalan higher education system 

Through the program “The strengthening of the gender perspective in the Autonomous University of Yucatan (UADY)”, practices are being developed in order to overcome inequality between women and men, both in the institution and society. 

With this event, the university strengthens its leading role in this researching area in Africa and translates its efforts to a greater cooperation within society in areas such as culture, economic well-being and social development.
