The Call For Funding Chair And Vice-Chairs of the DECODE Deans Council is now open!


Are you interested in leading the co-creation of impactful and meaningful pathways for sustainable development in higher education? Join the DECODE project in our mission to push the boundaries of higher education by leading a vibrant “Sustainability Community” of deans and their representatives. Self-nominate yourself to become part of the Council Leadership. 

Deadline for applications: 31/03/2022

The DECODE Deans Council for Sustainable Development is calling registered *Full Members to fill in the positions in the Council Leadership. The 3 open positions are: 1 Founding Chair and 2 Founding Vice-Chairs.

The responsibilities of Founding Chair and Vice-Chairs, include but not limited to:

  • Representing the Council to the public
  • Chairing Council meetings (General Assembly)
  • Hosting executive meetings ( with Chair, Vice-Chairs, *Executive
  • Secretary) every 3 months
  • Mediating with members regarding votes
  • Making decisions on the membership applications
  • Working with the Executive Secretary on the Council’s operational
  • focused activities
  • Preparing and supervising the strategic plan and annual work plan
  • Preparing the Council’s annual activity report

The call for nominations is open only for *Full Founding Members of the Council and open until 31.03.2022. Detailed information about the Call, roles and responsibilities of DECODE Deans Council Founding Chair and Vice-Chairs can be found here.

*Full members: Active deans, vice-deans, representatives for Sustainable Development (appointed by the deans) and other leaders of academic units (heads of departments/ faculties/ schools) in European Universities)
