MISSION: Generate, disseminate and preserve scientific, technological, humanistic and cultural knowledge in a critical, creative and social innovation, through the functions of education, research and service to society, strengthening professionally and ethically the talent of the nation, and to promote good living, within the framework of sustainability, justice and peace.

VISION: To be an Institution of Higher Education with national and international prospective leadership in the fields of ¡ts scientific, technological and humanistic domains, committed with cognitive democracy, the dialogue of knowledge, sustainable development and social innovation

-Train the professional talent of the nation with social, citizen and environmental conscience, ethical and moral values, whose participation contributes to the development of the nation and the strengthening of democracy.

University of Guayaquil is permanently in contact with other universities national and foreign, in order to establish academic networks that respond to global challenges that are constantly changing.

The University tends to develop academic activities that allow the development of sustainability, depending on the field of action of each of the schools or careers.

UG carries out an annual institutional collection of donations to attend the needs of vulnerable groups of our society.
