The mission of the UQ
The mission of the Queensland University (UQ) Haiti Within the framework of teaching and scientific research in Haiti and the Caribbean, the Queensland University makes an important contribution to the provision of quality university Christian education as well as a wide range of additional training corresponding to the needs of society. Developing new knowledge through productive scientific, cultural and artistic research, the university contributes to the formation of intelligent, moral, authentic and socially responsible individuals and thus to the creation of a Haitian Society of learning.
UQ's vision
Having expressly proven itself to be the Christian Leader in the field of Christian Higher Education (CHE) in Haiti and the Caribbean region, Queensland University (UQ) is generally perceived as a strong Protestant university of international significance. Its Status was achieved due to its high quality of Christian education, successful placement in the labor market, excellent international cooperation in specific areas of research and cooperation with practice as well as professional sport and cultural and artistic presentation in the Haitian community.
Goals
To encourage the advancement of learning and to hold out to all persons without distinction of race, creed, sex or political conviction of the opportunity of acquiring a higher education in technology about Queensland University (UQ);
To develop and offer academic and professional programmes leading to the award of Bachelor, first degrees, UQ Master Programme, post-graduate research and higher degrees which emphasizes planning, adaptive, technical, maintenance, development and productive skills in the engineering, scientific, agricultural, and allied professional disciplines with the aim of producing socially mature men and women with capability not only to understand, use and adopt existing technology but also improve on it and develop new ones in Haiti,
To act as agent and catalysts, through postgraduate training, research and innovation for the effective and economic utilization, exploitation and conservation of the country's natural, economic and human resources via the Faculty of Agronomy and Environment Sciences of UQ;
To offer to the general population, as a form of public service, the result of training and research and to foster the political applications of these results;
To establish appropriate relationships with other national and international institutions involved in training research and development technologies;
To identify technological problems and needs of the Haitian society and to find solutions to team within the context of overall national development;
To undertake any other activities appropriate for a university of technology of the highest standard in Haiti and the Caribbean Region;
