Mission / Vision

Since 1996, the University has focused its teaching and interdisciplinary research on finding solutions to current problems, and it ranks among the best universities in Madrid for excellent academic programs and international scientific quality. URJC’s goals are to help students develop a critical spirit, and enrich and grow personally and culturally.  

Goals

The aims of the Rey Juan Carlos University are:

-The expansion of knowledge through research in all branches of culture, science and technology.

-The dissemination and transfer of knowledge at the service of science, technology and culture.

-The support, promotion and protection of research as a way of creating and renewing knowledge..

-To promote technological development, the transfer of technology and innovation.

-To give specific attention to third cycle studies and postgraduate courses in general.

-To seek the greater social projection of its activities, through the establishment of channels of collaboration and assistance to society, promoting progress and social, economic and cultural development; with particular attention to continuing education.

-Promote university cooperation at the international level, especially within the framework of the European Union and of relations with Latin America and the United States.
