EIU Vision
EIU envisions to be a leading institution of higher education with flexible governance as well as aims to meet the requirements of a constantly growing labor market. This institution of higher education offers graduate professionals equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills and abilities.
EIU Mission
The university outlines its mission on the following three levels: teaching, research, and service to society. First and foremost, EIU prioritizes the organization of effective teaching and learning process.
Goals
Eurasia International University is an academic community where creative thinking, innovation, and initiation are highly valued. With the help of supervised teamwork, the University has resisted the challenges in the academic and economic spheres.
These challenges have always been accepted with gratitude and were considered as a pledge of constant growth. We prefer the path of leadership and excellence, hence we promote and develop the EIU fundamental values among the internal interested parties. Living in the century prone to change we do realize that the constant growth and perfection, in other words, life-long education is the main prerequisite of the current century.
Relatively small classrooms and a low number of students in a classroom at University create an opportunity to get to know all the students individually, thus developing students’ teamwork skills, ensuring possibilities for excellence, and promoting creative and critical thinking.

Main activities
Teaching, research and service to the society:
Teaching:
▪ To teach in alignment with national and European quality assurance standards;
▪ To organize higher professional and postgraduate education in the field of humanitarian and social sciences as well as information technologies in a way to meet the needs and requirements of the labor market;
▪ To ensure durable and secure international collaboration localizing the best practices from the field of teaching and quality assurance at the same time internationalizing the educational content;
▪ To create a collaborative environment for education beneficiaries, hence to invest into the transfer and spread of modern knowledge, skills, and abilities;
▪ To make students develop study skills as well as readiness to accept the ‘new’ through collaborative methods. Additionally, to strive for continuous self-advancement contributing to the establishment of competition in the dynamic and changing environment.
Research:
▪ To conduct research aimed at actualizing and internationalizing the academic content as well as the continuous development of the university;
▪ To conduct applied research aimed at socio-economic internalization and development of the RA.
Service to society:
▪ To spread the forward-looking practice and knowledge obtained from the fields of research and education, that is, making it accessible to the public;
▪ To enlarge the collaboration with community organizations: to include community development socio-economic issues in the list of topics offered to the students for their graduation papers and internship.
The University proper, EIU, provides education in the three levels of National Qualification Framework of the Republic of Armenia: Bachelor’s (VI level), Master’s (VII level), Researcher (Scientific Degree Candidate of Science (VIII level)). The major
degree programs are Management, Jurisprudence, Foreign languages, Pharmacy and Information Technologies (IT). Since 2013 the University has offered Candidate of Sciences degree programs in the fields of Economics and Management, Germanic Languages, and Public Law (Constitutional, Administrative, Financial, Municipal, Environmental, European law, and Governmental law).
The specializations at the Master’s level include: Constitutional Law, Civil Law and Procedure, Criminal Law and Procedure, International and European Law, Management, Project Management, Electronic Business Management, Hospitality Management, English Language and Literature (TEFL), Pharmacy and Information Technologies (IT).
The University has been accredited twice (in 2015 for two years, and most recently in 2018 for four years) based on the “Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area” (ESG) by the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA). It is one of only three private Universities to receive a 4-year accreditation - (out of 25).
The University adopted the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) in 2005 and since then is working towards Bologna Action Line Implementation. The University is continuously benchmarking the educational programs with EU Partner Universities to ensure comparability and harmonization of educational programs, as well as to promote staff and student mobility. Working with a number of Partner EU Universities in the framework of Erasmus Mundus (EIU has been a member of ALRAKIS, ALRAKIS 2 and MID consortia) and later within Erasmus + KA1, EIU has adopted a policy of full credit recognition and has developed appropriate mechanisms to ensure the policy implementation. The EIU is among the top five Universities with the number of project in frames of Erasmus + KA1.
Access, equity and quality
The University has implemented research and educational international programs by ensuring continuous improvement of teaching staff capacities. In particular, three Capacity Building Projects (ARMDOCT, HARMONY and ASPIRE) have been implemented with EU funding:
The ARMDOCT (Reforming Doctoral Education in Armenia in Line with Needs of Academia, Industry and Current EU practices) project addresses an urgent need in Reforming Doctoral Education (DE) in Armenia in line with the Salzburg Principles with the emphasis on policy, legal framework (including by-laws) and institutional procedures supporting integrative and internationally-oriented doctoral studies involving universities, research institutions and industry: EIU is the Project Coordinator (2020-2023).
The aim of HARMONY (Development of approaches to harmonization of a comprehensive internationalization strategies in higher education, research and innovation at EU and Partner Countries) project was to contribute to development of a comprehensive internationalization strategies and their harmonization at EU and Partner Countries (Armenia, Belarus, Russia) within the framework of HEA in accordance with the main provisions of the Bologna Process through modernization of international relation management of the partner countries universities, promoting the academic mobility and correspondently, increasing the attractiveness of the higher education systems in these countries and EU (2015-2018).
The ASPIRE (Access to Society for People with Individual Requirements;) project promoted and developed access to inclusive education, to social integration and to non-discrimination treatment of those with special needs in education in accordance with Bologna Process and United Nations criteria (2013-2016).
Opening up higher education to society
EIU implements the dissemination of moral values and social responsibility both through educational programs and other functions carried out by the University. Different subdivisions at the University have concrete public service functions. As part of its corporate social responsibility, EIU regularly organizes events and conducts free training courses for different social groups, as a result. In the scope of international cooperation within TEMPUS IV ASPIRE project (“Access to society for people with Individual Requirements”) within which, besides of development activities on academic programs, the University staff was trained for working with people with special requirements along with providing working and studying conditions for this target group also.
Higher education's contribution to sustainability
EIU is currently actively developing programs and platforms to promote the role of HE in sustainability and targets the UN Sustainable development goals in particular. Within this agenda, EIU has announced a Small grants competition (up to 500 EUR) to facilitate research and study projects in this area. Another recent initiative is the Scientific conference to be held on 20.12.2019, which will bring together the researchers, policy analysts and experts and facilitate discussions on number of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Social responsibility within higher education
One of the three areas of EIU mission is “Public Services Provision" by which the University tries to share the results gained in learning and research areas with wider public. In this context, the University values active cooperation with schools, vocational institutions and other universities aimed at dissemination of knowledge, organization of projects and events for strengthening relations with the society. EIU also provides scholarships to students from disadvantaged groups.
