The AOU is a non-profit institution that aims to establish itself as one of the leading institutions of open and distance learning in the region, offering affordable access to higher education for currently disadvantaged groups and creating a forum of lifelong learning. The AOU intends to promote human resources development that is compatible with the demands and challenges of currebt and emerginf information technology platforms and international socio-economic developments.
