AUK is a liberal arts institution, based on the American model of higher education. It is dedicated to providing students with knowledge, self-awareness, and personal growth experiences that can anhance critical thinking, effective communication, and repect for diversity. AUK seeks to create leaders and life-long learners who aspire to the highest standards of moral and ethical responsability in their societies.
Goals
Building a strong university-wide culture of excellence in education, reserach, scholarship, and the arts.
Ensure a university environment that is inclusive as well as diverses, and that fosters a spirit of community among faculty, staff, and students.
Provide an administrative, operational, and physical infraestructure that fully supports a high quality university.
Serve the needs of Kuwait and the region through outreach and engagement with academia, business, and community partners.
Main activities
- Delliver instensive English program and 12 undergraduate baccalaureate programs.
- Provide training and continuing education.
- Conduct research of regional significance.
- AUK plans to introduce master's degrees within the next five years.
