Joan Manuel del Pozo is a professor of Ancient Philosophy, Ethics and Political Philosophy  at the University of Girona. He has researched and published on the philosophical and political work of Cicero, to whom he has translated into Catalan, as well as the Utopia of Thomas More. He is autor of “Educacionari”, an essay as invitation to think and feel the education through sixty concepts.

As a politician, he has been deputy to the Congress and to the Parliament of Catalonia, first lieutenant of mayor of Girona and Minister of Education and Universities in the last autonomous  catalan government of Pasqual Maragall. He maintains an intense activity as a lecturer in many countries on subjects of education and educational cities, politics and values, citizenship, rethorics, values and countervalues of the 'liquid society' among others.
