CV summary

Carme Gual i Via holds a Degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and has a Postgraduate degree in Political Science. Her expertise in institutional communication and representation led her to her position as Director of the Catalan Agency for Cooperation and Development (ACCD) of the Government of Catalonia, a position she holds since September 2017. She has previously served as Director of Strategic Projects and Communication of Foment de Ciutat SA. She has also coordinated the International Relations of the Urban Habitat Department of the Barcelona City Council and has been technical adviser at the District XI of the Department of Cooperation of the same City Council, where she managed various international cooperation and solidarity projects between Barcelona and cities such as Gaza, Tel Aviv or Sarajevo. She created and directed the Irregular Settlement Plan of the city of Barcelona between 2012 and 2013. She has participated as an expert in projects of the World Bank, UN Habitat and the Inter-American Development Bank in matters related to sustainable urban development and citizen participation.
