First steps towards the 6th GUNi Higher Education in the World Report

The Editorial Team of the 6th GUNi Report held its first meeting on Thursday, March 26. Prof. John Goddard (UK), Prof. Ellen Hazelkorn (Ireland), Prof. Budd Hall (Canada) and Prof. Rajesh Tandon (India) are the gest editors for this next edition.

The meeting took place in the Sant Pau Art Noveau Site in Barcelona with the participation of John Goddard, professor emeritus at the University of Newcastle and Ellen Hazelkorn, professor of Dublin Institute of Technology. Rajesh Tandon and Budd Hall, co-chairs of the UNESCO Chair in "Community-Based Research and Social Responsaibility", also participated in the meeting through an on-line connection from India and Canada.

The 6th GUNi Report will be drawn up for the next two years and it will address the issue of the "Glocal University" to be studied in four levels: from an international perspective, from the perspective of the UNESCO Chairs, from the Catalan perspective and from the perspective of the relationship between cities and universities.
