First edition of the Service-Learning Awards

  • Prizes were awarded during the 8th Meeting of Service-Learning held last December in Valencia. 
  • The event gathered more than 325 education professionals and more than 140 projects. 
First edition of the Service-Learning Awards

The first edition of the Service-Learning Award 2015 rewarded educational institutions and social entities that introduce social actions within the learning of students which can improve the life of their communities. Such projects help to strength the participatory culture and the civic engagement within society, developing and promoting the Service-Learning model among children and young people. 

The awards were composed by three categories: Primary Education; Secondary Education and Professional training. Among the winner projects were the CREECE Project from Granada, the ApS Filosofía y Ciudadanía (Service-Learning Philosophy and Citizenship) from Valencia and “Tijeras que cortan barreras” ("Scissors cutting barriers") from Bilbao.

The Service-learning Awards were delivered on December 11, 2015 during the 8th Meeting of the Spanish Network on Service-Learning in Valencia. This event gathered more than 325 education professionals and more than 140 projects.
