ANUIES and the Chiapas Government sign a collaboration agreement

  • In the frame of this agreement will be carried out the First Nacional Contest named “Chiapas Emprende”

  • This partnership aims to promote projects created by young people which will contribute to the social and economic impact of the region.

The Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES) and the Government of Chiapas signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement. This partnership was created to promote entrepreneurship and innovation from the higher education institutions in order to stimulate the economic and social environment of the region.

As part of this cooperation framework, signatories agreed to implement the First National Contest named “Chiapas Emprende”. This initiative seeks to boost opportunities for youth, though the development of creative projects with an impact on the economic and social development of the region. In addition, the Government of Chiapas highlighted the importance of innovation regarding the progress of society thought the higher education institutions, and thus the winner will be awarded with a financial reward.

ANUIES is an institution founded in 1950 which creates policies and projects with higher education institutions in Mexico in order to develop best practices in fields such as research and teaching.
