Last February 18 was held at the University of Girona the Debate and Reflection Seminar on university cooperation with Morocco. The objective of this seminar was to identify the main fields of interest from the Catalan academic and scientific community to collaborate with Morocco. The event was attended by more than 30 participants including professors and researchers with experience in cooperating with Morocco, Responsibles for the International Relations Offices and for the Cooperation Development Offices, both from the Catalan public universities. The Moroccan Consul in Girona and several experts and representatives of the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR), the Inter-university Council of Catalonia (CIC) and the Union for the Mediterranean were also presents during the seminar.

This seminar, organized by the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP), is framed in the process of drafting the university cooperation Strategy with Morocco that aims to reinforce the collaborative links between the two priority countries of the Catalan cooperation: Morocco and Mozambique, which also counts with the support of the ACCD.
