Prof. Svänstrom (Chalmers) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Science at Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden. She got her PhD on blowing agents in foam insulation in 1997. During 2001, she was a PostDoc at the Laboratory For Energy and the Environment at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she studied emerging chemical technologies for sustainable waste management. Her interests are in efficient use of resources in society, environmental assessment, system analysis, new chemical technologies and waste valorisation.
