Irena Ateljevic is Assistant Professor at the Social-spatial Analysis Department of Wageningen University. She obtained her PhD in Human Geography in 1998 at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. In the context of an increasingly unsustainable world, her passion lies in transdiciplinary hopeful scholarship and action research that can move us towards more just and hopeful futures. She is also co-founder of the aforementioned international sustainability learning institute in Croatia.
