Prof.dr. G.R. de Snoo is director of the Institute of Environmental Sciences of Leiden University and full professor at in the field of Conservation Biology. His main fields of research are related to the impact of human activities on biodiversity and environmental quality and the sustainable development of rural areas. He is endowed professor at Wageningen University in the field of Nature Conservation on Farmland. He is also member of the Dutch Board for Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides in Wageningen. He wrote about 150 scientific and professional publications.
