UPM’s UNESCO Chair in Higher Education Management and Policy elaborates a study and organizes a Seminar on integration strategies for new students
An adequate adaptation of students to the university life and studies is considered a key factor towards their academic success
The UNESCO Chair in Higher Education Management and Policy, established at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), is developing a study on the policies and strategies of acceptance and integration of newly registered students in Spanish universities. This study wants to assess the current state of the matter and compile, with the help of information provided by 40 participating Spanish public and private universities, ongoing challenges and good practices on acceptance and student integration.
For this purpose, the UNESCO Chair is organizing next 18 October 2012 a Seminar entitled “Estrategias de integración para estudiantes universitarios de nuevo ingreso” (Integration strategies for newly registered university students), which will take place in Madrid (Spain). The event will be a forum for experts to debate on the current situation and come up with strategies for the future, as well as an opportunity to present an advance of the study that is in preparation and generate a collective assessment.
