Maastricht University Green Office wins ISCN-oikos Student Leadership AwardThe distinction represents the highest international award for sustainability student activism The Award, one of the 2012 International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) Sustainable Campus Excellence Awards, was initiated by the oikos Foundation, an international student organization with 30 chapters based at universities around the world, and is given to meritorious student projects or campaigns contributing to the sustainable campus and encouraging other students to develop new initiatives. The ISCN provides a global forum to embrace leading colleges, universities and corporate campuses and provide a platform to share information, ideas and best practices towards integrating sustainability in campuses operations, research and teaching. Consequently, these Sustainable Campus Excellence Awards want to recognize outstanding performances, leadership, creativity and effectiveness in the areas of Building, Campus, Integration and Student Initiatives. The Maastricht University Green Office, initiated and run by students, is the sustainability change agency of Maastricht University (UM). Back in March 2012, UM was already awarded with the Sustainabul Award as the university with most transparent sustainability efforts. For more information, follow this link. Document Actions |
