IAU-MCO Guidelines for an Institutional Code of Ethics for Higher Education

A joint Working Group of the International Association of Universities (IAU) and the Magna Charta Observatory (MCO) was the responsible cooperative entity to draft the Guidelines for an institutional Code of Ethics in a final meeting last 18 May 2012 in Istanbul (Turkey). These Guidelines have been redacted with the objective to encourage the adoption of comprehensive institutional Codes of Ethics by higher education institutions where no such codes exist or need review.

The Final Draft of the Guidelines has been sent to IAU Members for comments in a process that will end on 1 October 2012, before the IAU General Conference in Puerto Rico, where they will be presented.
