This roundtable is organized by the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) Directorate of Education, the Directorate of Science Technology and Industry, specially the Innovation, Higher Education and Research for Development (IHERD) programme, and the Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs and Local Development. It will build on the Reviews of Higher Education in Regional and City Development, and will highlight related OECD work.

The aim of the event is to learn and share experiences about the role of higher education institutions in socio-economic and greener development in national and local economies.
