Terms and conditions

Membership Fee: Annual subscription for institutional members is dependent on two basic criteria: the GDP of the host country^[1], and the type of the member.

A. GDP of the Host Country: the fee will be calculated using the per capita GDP, using the World Bank as an information source.

1. Countries with a per capita GDP of US $10,000 or more: full fee.
2. Countries with a per capita GDP less than US $10,000 and greater than US $4,000: adjusted fee.
3. Countries with a per capita GDP of US $4,000 or less: exempt of payment.

B. Type of member:

1. Institutional Members [see requirements]

• The UNESCO Chairs in higher education.
• Higher education institutions.
• Research centers in higher education.
• Networks related to higher education.
• Other UNESCO and UNITWIN chairs.

1. Full fee of €1,000 contribution per year: institutions coming from a country with a per capita GDP of US $10,000 or more
2. Adjusted fee of €600 contribution per year: Institutions coming from countries with a per capita GDP less than US $10,000 and greater than US $4,000
3. Exempt from payment: UNESCO Chairs, institutions coming from countries with a per capita GDP less than US $4,000 and founding members.

2. Associated Institutions [see requirements]

1. Full fee of €500 contribution per year: institutions coming from a country with a per capita GDP of US $10,000 or more
2. Adjusted fee of €300 contribution per year: Institutions coming from countries with a per capita GDP less than US $10,000 and greater than US $4,000
3. Exempt from payment: Institutions within the system of the United Nations.
