— filed under:

On October 27-28, 2011, the Strathmore University, Kenya, organizes the 8th Annual Ethics Conference, with the theme The Role of Ethics in Nation Building: The Balance between Unity and Cultural Diversity.

This year the Conference aims at encouraging an in-depth analysis of solidarity, subsidiarity, equality and equity as vital requirements for nation-building and core governance principles in the new African State so as to guarantee the success of a system grounded on the rule of law.

Organizers want to encourage a scholarly and deep – yet realistic – dialogue and debate among academicians, policy-makers, politicians and philosophers on the most suitable way to foster nation-building.

These ethics conferences held over the past 8 years in Strathmore University have made a deep impact on thousands of professionals in Africa who have come to understand the importance and relevance of transparency, honesty and accountability in both the public and private sector.
