One Green Leaf in the University of Arizona

— filed under:

NORTH AMERICA – USA

The car sharing program of the University of Arizona (UA) was started in 2009. However, this summer the University has expanded its car and bike sharing programs to cut down on the campus carbon footprint. And with a new green leaf now in the lineup, students, faculty and staff can share in zero emissions get-up-and-go.

Sustainability has long been a core topic of conversation across the UA. From an academic standpoint, the UA’s Institute for the Environment represents a leading cross-disciplinary center for examining and resolving humanity’s environmental challenges.

Targeting the four- and two-wheeled contraptions we use to get around, the University has implemented programs that are changing the way people feel about their need to have their own transportation.
