Good practice
A good practice provides innovative improvements and solutions to situations or problems that arise in the higher education institution’s internal or external context. It includes an innovative approach in its design, implementation, orientation, etc.
Good practices should meet the following general criteria:
- Have arisen from the identification of a problem or opportunity in the framework of priority local and/or global challenges of societies. As far as possible, there should be a prior diagnosis or process of study and analysis that ensures the suitability of the project design.
- Offer an innovative response. An experience is innovative when it represents an adaptation and/or fine-tuning of functions and activities carried out by the higher education institutions.
- Offer a socially sustainable relevant response.
- Include the active participation of the higher education institution’s community (students, researchers, teachers or managers in some of the university bodies). Have contributions and partnerships to ensure that a particular project is coordinated with the society in the relevant field. Collaborators should participate significantly in the experience.
In addition, there is a set of formal criteria, which ensure that the good practice can be transferred. The good practices should:
- Have been implemented for no less than six months, in order to check whether the plan is in line with initial results.
- Be sustainable in terms of use of resources, institutional support, or the degree of formalization of legal aspects and regulations, to ensure the long-term impact of the experience.
On-going projects
On-going projects are designed to provide GUNi.KC members, higher education institutions and organizations with tools and features to highlight their initiatives, objectives, challenges and progress within a unique online space. Differently from good practices, given that they are new projects or on-going projects, they will also have an additional space where to publish offers and demands as i.e call for partners, related to the project.
The general criteria for the on-going projects is the same that applies for the good practices although they will not asked to have been implemented for a period of time. We are looking for projected projects or on-going projects.
