EAIE Community Exchange - session "Internationalisation and community engagement: can they work together?"
After months of social distancing, it's time for the EAIE community to reunite – this time, in the comfort of our own offices. The EAIE Community Exchange will be hosted online 14th-16th October 2020.
Josep M. Vilalta, GUNi Director, will participate at the session "Internationalisation and community engagement: can they work together?" on the 15th October 2020 together with Irina Ferencz (ACA Academic Cooperation Association) and Thomas Farnell (Institute for the Development of Education).
15/10/2020 - 14:00 to 15:15
The upcoming gathering of the international higher education community is set to include the same high-quality content you're used to seeing at EAIE events. From inspiring keynote speeches to updates on the immediate future of the European programmes for 2021–2027, to practitioner perspectives and life skills tailored to meet the unique challenges of the current moment, the programme has something in store for every attendee.
Session "Internationalisation and community engagement: can they work together?" - 15th October 2020 - 14:00-15:15h
To try to increase awareness of community engagement in an international cooperation context in higher education, this session will involve participants learning from one another’s experiences of community engagement at different institutions and in different countries. We will provide a framework to help you structure – and reflect critically upon – your thinking about internationalisation and community engagement.
The second part of this session is dedicated to the break-out discussions, you can turn on your webcam and microphone and dive into the conversation in small groups.
