Verity is the Programme Manager for the ACU’s Climate Impacts Research Capacity and Leadership Enhancement in Sub-Saharan Africa (CIRCLE) programme. CIRCLE focuses on developing the skills and research output of early career African researchers in the field of climate change and its local impacts on development. Research uptake is a key component of the CIRCLE programme, and Verity leads on the monitoring and evaluation of uptake activities carried out by the CIRCLE Fellows, as well as the long-term impact of the programme on local communities.

Verity has a background in mental health, and has an interest in community resilience and social change within developing countries. In previous roles, Verity has worked on a range of research and development projects focusing on security, post-conflict community rebuilding, collaboration and engagement within civil society, and utilization of research in development project delivery.
