Technician at the Office of Cooperation for Development and Volunteering (OCV) of the University of La Coruna
Vanessa Míguez Martín has been working as a technician at the Office of Cooperation for Development and Volunteering (OCV) of the University of La Coruna since 2002. She supervises promotion of volunteering and service-learning at the University in order to involve the whole Academy (especially students) and the society in reflecting and getting awareness to give responses to global challenges. With extensive experience in implementing volunteering and education for development projects and training. She has also participated in supporting various projects as a field worker, institutional dialogue and team coordination. Her research interests include gender, social habitat, international migrations, interculturality, education and cooperation for development. She is also involved in the training and implementation of SDGs in the Galician public universities through networks like RGCUD -Galician Network for University Cooperation for Development and Artigo9tech -a network of researchers and professionals from Universities and NGOs in Galicia (Spain), who have joined forces to promote action and cooperation in engineering and sustainable development.
