CV summary

Meg works for a new educational charity (SOS-UK) that seeks to get more students leading on and learning about sustainability. Building on fifty years of leading-edge campaigns and programmes, developed by the National Union of Students (NUS UK), SOS-UK aims to harness the desire of students and young people to respond to the climate emergency and lead society to a better future. Her role includes working with tertiary education institutions across the UK to work in partnership with their students’ unions for whole-institution transformation for sustainability education. This work connects students with their education providers and wider community for social and environmental benefit. Meg has previously worked at the University of Gloucestershire and their Students' Union leading on student, staff and community engagement for sustainability, this also involved the coordination of a Regional Centre of Expertise for Sustainability in the Severn region. She found her passion for education transformation through her background in outdoor education and learning outside the classroom, working with young people out of mainstream education.Meg has a Geography degree from the University of Glasgow and MSc in Environmental Consultancy from Plymouth University.
