Professor HL Lien’s research interests include the environmental nanotechnology, renewable energy policy and groundwater remediation. He received his Ph.D. of Environmental Engineering at Lehigh University, USA in 2000 and joined The Ground Water and Ecosystems Restoration Division, USEPA during 2000-2002. Now, Dr. Lien is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Kaohsiung (NUK), Taiwan. He is a Vice President of NUK, Dean of the School of Imagination for
Future and Director of New Energy and Electricity Development (NEED) Center.
Dr. Lien is in charge of the SDG-Inside Initiative to promote SDGs embedded into the research, education, institutional operations and external partnership at NUK. He has published more than 30 high quality papers and over 3800 citations in Google Scholar.
