Anna has expertise in Cities’ Innovation (technology/social/urban/government) and Public-Private Partnership, member of the Municipal Innovation Committee, and has designed and leaded projects like the Barcelona Urban Lab (considered one of the 20th best practices in the world about innovation in governments - i-teams by Bloomberg/Nesta) or Barcelona Open Challenge initiative that fosters Innovative Public Procurement and cultural change.  She collaborates with institutions like World Bank or European Community.

She joined the Barcelona City Council with the 22@Barcelona project, the biggest urban and economic transformation project in Europe to create an innovation district in the Barcelona city center. She also has leaded the Clusters Strategy and Development in the city, promoting the economic competitiveness in sectors like ITC/Mobile, Bio, Sustainable Mobility, Logistics, or Food among others, and was the Director of Strategic Sectors and Innovation at Barcelona Activa/Barcelona CityCouncil.

Actually she is collaborating in the design and implementation of the Barcelona Digital Innovation Strategy and their Policies. Stering, managing, coordinating, and guiding the strategy implementation, and transversely articulating and advising in innovation among the different areas of the City Council, ensuring the information, coordination, learning, engagement and alignment of the different areas, and searching for funding opportunities. Working especially in subjects such as: Transformation and digital innovation in the public sector (Open and digital AGILE transformation including Open and Innovative Public Procurement), Digital Social Innovation and Civic Innovation (Labs, CAPs and projects), Smart City Strategy, Data City Strategy, Sharing economy, New technology trends & Future Emerging Technologies, Digital Democracy and the use of ICT for the transparency and public accountability, International cooperation, among others.
