André de Hamer is co-founder and program manager of Duurzame PABO, the Dutch network organization Education for Sustainable Development for teacher trainers, teachers and students. André lectures geography and learning for sustainability in higher education since 2000. He is one of the authors of the Dutch translation of the UNECE competences in ESD and has (co)published over ten articles and books on education for sustainable education and geography. As program manager of Duurzame PABO his ambition is to contribute to education that prepares students in primary education for a sustainable future. Duurzame PABO’s motto is: ‘We teach the Future’. Duurzame PABO is part of ‘A rounder Sense of Purpose (I and II) since the start in 2015. The website, aroundersenseofpurpose.eu where this work comes together, is built by Duurzame PABO.
